Implementation of the Shtokman project shall increase an investment to the Russian industry |
The meeting between Shtokman Development AG Executives and the representatives of Russian industrial enterprises was held on May 15 by the Association of Oil and Gas Equipment Producers. The meeting was attended by Yuriy Komarov, CEO of Shtokman Development AG, Herve Madeo, Deputy CEO SDAG, Andrey Pliss, Supplier market research coordinator of SDAG. Alexander Romanikhin, President of the Association of Oil and Gas Equipment Producers, has introduced to the Shtokman AG the following major Russian companies: “Rostekhnologiya” State corporation, OAO “Avtomobilniy zavod “URAL”, OAO “KAMAZ”. OAO “PO ElAZ”, industrial group “GMS”, industrial group “Integra”, industrial group “Kaspiyskaya Energia”, ZAO “Obyedinennaya Metallurgicheskaya Kompaniya (Unified Iron and Steel Company), OAO “Trubmash”, ZAO “Uraltrubostal”, OAO “Moskovskiy trubozagotovitelniy kombinat, OAO “KMPO”, ZAO “NG Energo”, OAO “Aviadvigatel”, “Electroschit” plant, ZAO “Methanol and Nitrogen Processes”, NPP “Burintech”, ChTZ-Uraltrack and other companies. The event was participated by the representatives of OAO “LUKOIL”, OAO “SOGAZ” and OOO”Gazflot”.
CEO of Shtokman Development AG Yuriy Komarov and company Executives have answered the questions of Russian operators that were interested in opportunities provided by this unique promotional project. Y.Komarov noticed that SDAG has created a special group that would recruit Russian contractors. CEO of ADAG has detailed on each phase of the implementation of Shtokman project and enlightened the opportunities for Russian companies. SDAG is trying to prepare such tender conditions, so that Russian enterprises could have the possibility to take part in it, Y.Komarov marked. Specifically, SDAG plans to use local companies for manufacturing of generator turbines and units. Major opportunities for Russian companies can be observed on the forthcoming construction of onshore pipeline, purchase of power generator of 160-220MW, liquid nitrogen tanks and many other operations. It was noted that SDAG is going to apply a great variety of equipment while implementing the Shtokman project. For example, they would need 700 large trucks and this constitute circa 20% of world truck fleet. It is going to be purchased two 1250tons cranes, three 800tons cranes and 70 cranes of less than 400tons, 120 lorries, 20 bulldozers, 40 excavators, 200 auto cars, 240 buses. They need to purchase circa 10000tons of explosives for site preparation.
Herve Madeo informed on a know-how technology and experience. SDAG is scheduling to apply a co-production machinery, specifically, they are going to recruit Russian electrical drives’ suppliers to manufacture engines and converters, switch gears, control consoles and others. Andrei Pliss, Supplier market research coordinator, has emphasized the role of Oil and Gas Suppliers Register as an effective information provider about Russian companies. It was noted that the Association of Oil and Gas Producers have to organize the task-specific meetings. For example, there are various companies involved in delivering motor cars, pipes or power-generating equipment that is why they need to gather only those companies that are interested in this.
In concluding remarks, Mr A.Romanikhin has noted: “Implementation of the Shtokman project shall increase an investment to the Russian industry. It is luck that our cooperation has started immediately after the originating of the project operator. We are expected to have a great job with potential Russian contractors. Much must be done in the information support. But the most important thing is that Shtokman Development AG Executives have a strong desire to cooperate with our companies.
