Gazprom’s major field to be drilled by Russian rigs

Three heavy-duty drilling rigs manufactured by Uralmash-VNIIBT Group were delivered to Bovanenkovskoye oil and gas condensate field in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District during the navigation period of 2008.  Rigging-up and commissioning will be completed before the end of the year 2008. The maximum annual production in  Bovanenkovskoye oil and gas condensate field  (Yamal area, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District) will total 115 billion cubic meters of gas. Bovanenkovskoye field is located in Yamal Peninsula, 40 kilometers away from the Kara Sea coast, in the lower reaches of the rivers Se-Yaha, Mordy-Yaha and Naduy-Yaha. There are three gasfields in the field. The total number of wells is 743, the number of well clusters is 56.  The average content of condensate in formation gas is 2,5 grams per cubic meter. Bovanenkovskoye oil and gas condensate field is Yamal’s largest field  that is the main source of hydrocarbon production buildup both in Yamal and in Russia.  Zapolyarnoye field that is big but not as big as Bovanenkovo only allows to stabilize production levels.  It is only Bovanenkovskoye oil and gas condensate field that can help increase production, and a great contribution has been made by the president of Uralmash-VNIIBT  Vitaly Tkachev who organized manufacturing of Russian new generation oil and gas drilling rigs.
Vitaly Tkachev was born on November 6, 1958 in the city of Magadan. In 1981, he graduated from the Kiev State Institute of Civil Aviation with a degree in mechanical engineering. During 1981-92, he worked as mechanic, foreman, chief mechanic. In 2002, Tkachev graduated from the Gubkin University of Oil and Gas with a degree in oil and gas business. Tkachev has been awarded the Honorary Oilman title. Member of the Council of the Association of Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturers. Tkachev served as general director of the large oil producing company Orenburgneft, and then as first vice-president of Tyumen Oil Company.  Orsk Refinery was successfully renovated under his supervision; he managed to improve performance of Ryazan Refinery.  Big businessman and manager,  Mr.Tkachev has a perfect understanding of the Russian oil and gas equipment market.  The efforts of Vitaly Tkachev’s team ensured a substantial growth of oil and gas equipment production in Sverdlovsk region, Tyumen region, Kostroma region and Perm region.
