The net profit of Eurasia that is Russia’s major drilling contractor grew by 68,9 percent and exceeded $130 million in the first half of the financial year 2008. Experts say, the company’s income will continue to increase. The opinion is based on forecasts predicting hydrocarbon deficit due to decline in recoverable reserves. The drilling contractor “Eurasia” is Russia’s major independent drilling company in terms of meterage drilled. The company’s regular customers are Rosneft, LUKOIL, Gazpromneft, TNK-BP and many other oil and gas producers. Production facilities of Eurasia are located in West Siberia, Volga-Ural, Timano-Pechora, with the recent addition of East Siberia and Kazakhstan. The company is headquartered in Moscow, its personnel headcount exceeds 16 thousand employees.

At the international conference NEFTEGAZSERVIS-2008 that will take place on October 21, 2008 in Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel, the drilling company’s president, Alexander Bogachev, will tell about the situation in the oilfield services market. Eurasia’s head will present his paper titled “Eurasia Drilling Company: The strategy of development of drilling contractor in the oilfield services market”. The conferences in Radisson Slavyanskaya are regularly attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Rostekhnadzor, Rostekhregulirovanie, ASBUR, ROSING, OJSC “Gazprom”, OJSC “Rosneft”, OJSC “TNK-BP Management”, OJSC “Integra Management”, OJSC “LUKOIL”, Petroalians, SSK, Tatneft, Surgutneftegaz, Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and many other major companies.
