Today, during the Gas Day of the Oil and Gas Congress, member of the managing board of OJSC “Gazprom” and general director of LLC “Gazkomplektimpeks”, Igor Fedorov, told about oil and gas equipment supplier selection practices.  LLC “Gazkomplektimpeks” is the centralized supplier of equipment for OJSC “Gazprom”. Over the past three years, the company jointly with the Association of Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturers has been working to get Russian manufacturing companies to participate  in competitive tenders. LLC “Gazkomplektimpeks”  has switched to a system of long-term contracts with local manufacturers to make them able to fully demonstrate their designing and manufacturing capabilities.  LLC “Gazkomplektimpeks” makes a great contribution in development of civilized procurement rules and  uniform procurement procedures in the oil and gas industry.  The work is conducted by the Coordinating Council of oil and gas equipment users that is co-chaired by representatives of Gazkomplektimpeks and Gazpromneft.

 

At the Oil Day yesterday, president of the Association of Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturers, Alexander Romanikhin, emphasized the necessity of cooperation between oil companies to work out uniform procurement procedures, the need for their active participation in development of the Register of Oil and Gas Industry Suppliers and improvement of equipment standards.

 

The Oil and Gas Congress will close today. The Congress featured addresses by many representatives of Russian and international oil and gas producers, oilfield services providers and equipment manufacturers.
