OJSC “Gazprom” has appointed Alexander Mandel as general director of LLC “Sevmorneftegaz”.

Alexander Mandel was born in 1950 in Rozhishche, Volyn region, Ukraine.   
In 1972, he graduated from Ivano-Frankovsk University of Oil and Gas with a degree in technology and integrated mechanization of oil and gas field development. Ph.D. in Engineering.   

1983-1984, head of the Exploration Drilling Division of Sakhalinburgazrazvedka.   1984 – 1996, chief engineer, head of the  Exploration Drilling Division, deputy general director for drilling of VPO “Sakhalinmorneftegaz” (since 1992 – AOOT “Sakhalinmorneftegaz”).
1996 – 1999, deputy general director for drilling and production of Gazflot. 1999-2000,  first deputy general director of LLC “Gazflot”.  2000 – 2007, general director of LLC “Gazflot”.  
Decorated with the Order of Merit of II Degree.

Yury Komarov, the former general director of LLC “Sevmorneftegaz”, resigned due to his appointment as chief executive officer of  Shtokman Development AG.
