The Sverdlovsk region government recognized Uralmash-Burovoye Oborudovanie as the best machine building company in terms of social and economic performance. According to the chairman of the Sverdlovsk region government, Viktor Koksharov,  “the contest gave a powerful incentive  for companies’ image improvement”.  The managing director of Uralmash-Burovoye Oborudovanie, Rinat Gayanov said in an interview to UralPolit.Ru, “The company already has regular personnel. Some time ago we hired a number of employees, so now we have almost no staff turnover and we do not invite new people. Now we can select employees on a competitive basis: one of twenty or one of thirty applicants for one job”. Then Gayanov focused on the personnel training program. “About 50 students from vocational schools and universities of the Sverdlovsk region and other areas do practical training in our company every year.  We have  university students from Chelyabinsk, Moscow and Tyumen. We accept them as salaried workmen, backup foremen and floor supervisors, depending on their qualification. There were cases when trainees continued to work for the company after finishing the training program”. Today,  Uralmash-Burovoye Oborudovanie is one of the most successful machine building companies both in the Sverdlovsk region and the Ural Federal District. The company’s branch, Tyumen Shipyard, has substantially built up its research and production capabilities over the past year and has risen from a bankrupt to  a dynamic  company with a large portfolio.
