Valery Yazev okays draft law on access of foreigners to Russia’s strategic enterprises |
According to State Duma vice speaker Valery Yazev, adoption of the bill on access of foreigners to Russia’s strategic enterprises will help set clear-cut rules in the national market and attract investment.
”The draft law will allow providing protection of the national interests, and set rules of the game in the Russian market for foreign players. Setting precise rules is good for the country from the point of view of investment inflows”, vice speaker said.
Yazev added that the legislative draft provides definitions of fields categorized as strategic.
”The state has identified 42 types of activities that are strategically important for the security of the country. As for the field categories, strategic fields are oil fields containing 70 million tons of oil, gas fields with 50 billion cubic meters of gas, copper fields with 500 thousand tons”, he said.
