Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy Yury Lipatov has addressed participants of the third international conference “Oil and Gas Industry supply Chain” “NEFTEGAZSNAB-2008” that will be held in Moscow on March 11.  Lipatov said that participation of leading companies’ representatives and experts “lays a foundation for fruitful and professional dialogue on pressing issues of technical renovation and procurement systems improvement in the domestic oil and gas industry. Implementation of upcoming major investment projects provides new prospects to Russian oil and gas equipment manufacturers”.  The conference “NEFTEGAZSNAB-2008” will be attended by procurement executives of major companies of the oil and gas industry (Gazprom, LUKOIL, TNK-BP, SIBUR, Russneft, Surgutneftegaz, Gazpromneft, Tatneft, Bashneft, Novatek, etc.).  The  specialists will speak about procurement and sourcing systems in their companies and answer participants’ questions.   “NEFTEGAZSNAB-2008” is the only forum to bring together procurement executives of the oil and gas industry companies.

Yury Lipatov was born on June 14, 1953 in Ramensky area, Moscow region. He graduated from the Moscow Aircraft Technology University of K.E. Tsiolkovsky with a degree in mechanical engineering, and from the Russian Academy of Public Administration of RF President with a degree in law. Ph.D. in Economics. Lipatov was general director of Ramensky Electromechanical Plant “Energia”. He was elected deputy of the Ramensky City Council of the Moscow Region Duma; deputy and chairman of the Moscow Region Duma Committee for Economy and Infrastructure Development; deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation of the third convocation. Prior to election of the Fourth State Duma, he occupied the post of deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee for Energy, Transportation and Communications.   Lipatov is a member of the Central Audit Commission of the All-Russian Political Party “United Russia”, deputy secretary of the Political Council of the Moscow Region Branch of the party. Member of the United Russia faction. Deputy chairman of the State Duma committee for Energy, Transportation and Communications. Lipatov was awarded  with the Order of  Honor and the Order of Friendship, he is the RF Government prize winner of in science and technology.
