Many oil companies now use the Register of Oil and Gas Industry Suppliers that was jointly established by OJSC “SIBUR Holding”, OJSC “Gazpromneft”, OJSC “SLAVNEFT”, OJSC “TNK-BP Management” and OJSC “NOVATEK”. The Register’s mission is to enhance market transparency and promote the interests of trustworthy equipment suppliers. Contractors are entered on the Register upon recommendation of one of the above companies.

The Register contains basic information on suppliers for preliminary evaluation of their capabilities, including brief company history, oil and gas market experience, availability of service centers, certificates, information on fulfilled contracts, customer feedback, etc. All these non-confidential data are presented in a convenient form to facilitate trustworthy contractor selection. The Register enables customer companies to exchange information on their suppliers, which will help oust questionable and shady firms from the market. Entering the Register is free of charge.

The second priority of the Register is to publish information on oil and gas industry tenders on the Internet site www.prom-oil.ru. The site offers significant help to suppliers who otherwise have to monitor a great number of websites of the oil and gas industry companies.
Notices are published free of charge. The Register is constantly in touch with major oil companies to collect contractor recommendations. The English version of the Register has been launched to promote interaction between Russian companies and their international partners.
