Russian-Chinese Trade House has been established to expand Russian machinery and equipment exports  to China. The agreement to set up the Trading House was reached during the meeting of the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in Beijing.
Head of the Russian delegation, minister of economy and trade German Gref commented that “local companies are unable to feed the domestic market demand, and they do not have products for export”. Alexander Shokhin was appointed head of the Trading House on the part of Russia.
Over the five months of 2007, machinery and equipment accounted only for 1,4% of all Russian exports to China, while mineral fuel, oil and petroleum products export total 44,2%.
