    Company history and overview of business

    Sevkabel Plant (formerly called Cable Plant of Siemens and Gaslke) was founded in 1879 by German businessman Henry Siemens. Sevkabel was Russia’s first cable products manufacturer. During its long history, Sevkabel has been one of the cable industry leaders. Today, the company has ample capabilities to manufacture a wide range of cables. The quality of cables and terminal boxes have been appreciated by customers from both Russia and overseas. The company’s main focus is on optical fiber and power cables, self-supporting cables, low voltage power cables, cross linked polyethylene cables.
    The company’s stable and longstanding business relations, ongoing efforts to improve technologies, advanced management and marketing practices are based on age long traditions of quality assurance.

    The manufacturing process is based on smooth operation of the company’s infrastructure. JSC “Sevkabel” owns the following production workshops: workshop ¹2 – power cables (armored cables) floor space of 9,5 thsnd. sq. m, more than 450 standard sizes of power cables; workshop ¹3 –plastic-insulated cable manufacturing, floor space of 8,8 thsnd. sq.m; workshop ¹6 – installation wire; workshop ¹12 – subsea, radiofrequency, optic cables, floor space of 17757 sq.m.; many auxiliary workshops. The workshops are quipped with new manufacturing equipment of domestic and foreign manufacture.
