11. Company history and overview of business
OJSC Plant “Staroruspribor” is a leader of the Russian instrument making industry.
Founded in 1959, the plant started to manufacture float level gages and level alarms for petroleum products, processing machines, silver recovery units. In the 70-ies, the company launched manufacturing of automatic boiler equipment, expanded its product range with pc board level gages and process fluid flow measuring instruments. In 1998, the plant merged with Splav Corporation (Veliky Novgorod), which strengthened the plant’s position and financial standing and brought the company to new sales markets.
Over 48 years of operation, the company has developed into an advanced instrument making company. Today, it operates state of the art equipment that is used in workshops, design and engineering departments, testing facilities and laboratories, service maintenance center. The company’s products are widely used both in CIS countries and overseas. The company offers the following products:
• Boiler equipment, household and industrial burners, automatic equipment, sensors, actuating devices;
• Heat and fluid (including petroleum products) flow meters;
• Level gages, level alarms for liquids and granular media;
• Instruments for measuring process variables (gas pressure, temperature, position);
• Process fluid flow meters and environmental monitoring for nuclear power stations.
