11. Company history and overview of business
German concern GEDORE is the world leader in installation tools manufacturing.
The GEDORE products are certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 and ROSTEST of Russia, and are provided with a lifetime warranty that allows replacement of defective tools regardless of how long ago they were bought.
The company was founded in 1919 as a small shop to manufacture wrenches. Over the past 100 years, the company has developed into a large concern that manufactures approximately 15 thousand product items and employs more than 3000 people. .
Today, GEDORE comprises more than 15 toolmaking plants of which 10 are located in Germany, and the other five in Austria, France, Great Britain, Brazil and South Africa. Some member companies have their own trade marks, such as DREMOTEC, DAKO, HABERO, BALDUER, METEC, OCSHENKOPF, etc.
GEDORE WERKZEUGE GMBH headquartered in Moscow is a Russian subsidiary and representation office of GEDORE.
The company has branch offices and warehouses in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Khabarovsk, Novosibirks Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, and a chain of dealers based in all big Russian cities to supply equipment and provide service maintenance.
