11. Company history and overview of business
1943 – establishment of Plekhanov Machinebuilding Plant
1958 – manufacturing of gate valve electric drives.
2004 – establishment of CJSC “Tulaelektroprivod”
CJSC “Tulaelektroprivod” is one of Russia’s major manufacturers of gate valve electric drives and offers a wide range of products. Products supplied by CJSC “Tulaelektroprivod” are operated in all climatic regions of Russia, CIS countries and overseas. The company’s sales geography includes Ukraine, Byelorussia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Lithuania, Finland, India, etc. The application areas are oil and gas industry, chemistry and metallurgy, energy, nuclear power industry, public utilities, etc.
CJSC “Tulaelektroprivod” is a fast growing company that successfully implements large-scale modernization programs and puts high-standard novel products into batch production.
Since 2005, the company invested more than $1 million annually in renovation of its plant and equipment. The money was spent on purchasing and launching advanced processing equipment, electrical discharge machines and other equipment to ensure superior quality of metal processing, high quality and reliability of the products.
For the purposes of production modernization and launching of new products the company established the engineering center “Privod” that employs highly qualified design professionals. The engineering center developed the new import substitute series of smart high speed electric drives, a new line of fully steerable electric drives, electric and manual drive reduction gear, and test bench equipment for acceptance trials.
