1. 1. Date of commencement of operation as a supplier of the oil and gas industry
In 1993, the company manufactured 213 oil tanks for OJSC “RZD”. Later on, similar contracts were awarded by local and international car operators.

3. 3. The most competitive products (services) and benefits they offer
Wheeled and crawler-mounted hydraulic excavators manufactured by FGUP “PO “UVZ” feature enhanced reliability and efficiency.
Wheeled excavators are most effective to use in scattered construction sites in cities and rural areas for excavation of ground of I – IV categories, loading of loose materials, crushed rock and frozen soil with size of pieces not exceeding 200 mm, as well as for repair of urban utilities in temperate climate zones with air temperatures ranging – 40 Ń through + 40 Ń.
UVZ-manufactured crawler excavators are used for ground excavation work in the public utilities sphere, road construction, mining and oil and gas industries, and are very good for excavation of frozen soil of I – IV categories, loading of loose materials and crushed rock with size of pieces not exceeding 500 mm, under temperatures of -40 through +40.
The wide range of applications of the UVZ hydraulic excavators is ensured by the following technical parameters:
- reliable and easy-to-service motors manufactured by YaMZ;
- autonomous heater for easy motor start under low temperatures;
- 160 cm³ pumps;
- wear-resistant facing for longer service live of the shovel;
- removable equipment sets: 6 types of buckets and shovels, hydraulic hammer, grab, cutter, pump and welding unit;
- crawler-mounted excavators can be equipped with wide track crawler for operation on soft soil;
- wheeled excavators feature improved maneuvering and cross country capability, and are able to travel long distances with speed of 25 km per hour.
Small-size loaders are machines with wide range of application. They can be used for land planning, cleaning, construction and installation operations, well drilling, carrying of loads of up to 500 kgs.
Technological advantages of UVZ loaders include:
small specific ground pressure;
small turn radius;
small overall dimensions;
removable crawler that allow the loader to operate in all weather conditions.
Since early 2005, the company has been manufacturing loader PUM-500U with HATZ motor.
Loaders PUM-500U have advantages over batch-produced loaders equipped with local motors:
- increased capacity;
- low fuel consumption;
- safe operation;
- speed increased to 10 km per hour;
- compliance with Euro II and EPA standards.
Use of HATZ motor allowed to improve the loader performance through power maintenance at any speed (which is important for use of detachable equipment). Compliance with Euro standards allows to export the equipment.
Wheeled tractors are intended for general purpose applications – tillage, complete cultivation, planting, grain harvesting, cultivation and harvesting of sugar beet, vegetables, potatoes and tall crops. This is a high performance, efficient and reliable tractor that is 90% made of domestically-manufactured components. Today, wheeled tractors supplied by FGUP “PO “UVZ” are the only domestic tractors able to compete with foreign-made equipment.
Tractors by FGUP “PO “UVZ” has the following advantages:
- efficient 160 h.p. four-stroke six-cylinder engine YaMZ-236D2 manufactured by the Yaroslavl plant;
- transmission provides for 16 forward travel speeds and 8 reverse travel speeds.
- automatic locking of front axle differential, positive locking of rear axle differential and interaxle differential ensure good cross-country ability and high performance.
- air conditioner is installed in the tractor cab to create comfortable environment for machine operators.
- wheels can be installed to suit different track width for operation in rows of 45 cm, 60 cm, 70 cm, 75 cm, 90 cm, rear and front wheels can also be coupled to reduce pressure on soil during early spring agricultural operations, and to increase performance.
- two types of hooking devices (TSU 2/3 and TSU -1Z) and automatic hitch SA-2 can be installed on the tractor to attach trailing and mounted machines.
- four pairs of hydraulic outlets allow to attach several equipment units at the same time.

All freight cars manufactured by FGUP “PO Uralvagonzavod” have certificates of compliance issued by the Register of Certification of Federal Railroad Transport. There is a total of 17 certificates.
Tank containers have certificates issued by the Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping, and permits issued by the Russian Federal Service of Environmental, Technological and Atomic Supervision.
