The Petroleum and Gas Suppliers Register (hereinafter referred to as the Register) has been formed to enhance market transparency and promote the interests of trustworthy equipment suppliers. Contractors may be entered in the Register only if recommended by one of the following companies: ОАО “SIBUR Holding”, ОАО “Gazpromneft”, ОАО “ТNK-ВР Management”, ОАО “NOVATEK” or OAO "NGK "Slavneft". The requirement to provide recommendations by the leading oil and gas companies will keep untrustworthy suppliers out of the Register.
The Register contains basic supplier information for preliminary evaluation of their capabilities, including brief company history, oil and gas industry experience, availability of service centers, certificates, information on fulfilled contracts, customer feedback, etc. These non-confidential data presented in a convenient format will significantly facilitate contractor selection. The Register enables oil and gas equipment buyers to exchange information on their suppliers, which will help oust questionable and shady firms from the market. The entry in the Register is free off charge.
The second goal of the Register is to post oil and gas industry tenders announcements on the Internet site www.prom-oil.ru. The site offers significant help to suppliers who otherwise need to monitor a great number of websites of the oil and gas industry companies. The tender announcements are posted free of charge.
The Register is working with oil majors to collect recommendations. The English version of the Register serves to promote cooperation between Russian and international companies.
